New Member in the family.

Time passes so fast since we came back home after having stayed in KK,Sabah for two weeks. My granddaughter will be 20 days old today. This new member brings joy to the new parent,my son and his wife and maybe, some other related people who may concern.The grandpa of this girl seems happy to attend to her.I observe that he likes sitting near to watch her sleep, ready to carry her when she cries for milk. He will readily prepares milk and feeds her,changes her nappies or diapers when she is wet.
I,being a grandmother feels no excitement at all. I had had enough of my time taking care of my own 3 children. It was no easy task during the first few years.Until the time they attended play school and kindergarten then we parent felt at ease.

Looking at my granddaughter, I only feel my life will be affected and freedom will be less. I haven't even have time to enjoy my retirement for the past 9 years ! During that period of 9 years, I and my husband had to face with son's problems. I need to share duties with my own brother who was taking care of my late mother.Also we had to show concern to my late mother in law who was sickly then.
When the old folks passed away last year, here comes this little new born ! It means I have to go on taking care of people in my life !I only feel this will become a responsibility. It is Fate, I should say. This is the typical chinese culture and upbringing. We need to assist the children who are incapable of  earning more.

Anyway,we are now busy helping to look after the baby as well as the mother who is in her confinement month. The baby will be 1 month old on the 4th of August according to the Lunar calender.
